Thanks. I believe it is an ad prompt because a ton of em are popping up under the tabs (home calendar FAQ etc. In fact it is giving me the classic "you have 7 windows errors" "make your PC run faster" lol. At first it was just giving me "play" and "dowload" plug-in. Gotta expect it with a free forum.
Thanks to Kenny G for his years of service to the NEFL with the previous site. I hope that this new service does as well. Thanks again to the board for their work on this. Let the Tweaking commence!

Blair

can't recreate either Blair, sorry don't know what to say. Check the FAQ's page on the top & maybe it's in their somewhere. This is a free forum/blogpost site, so I wouldn't recommend downloading anything either as I haven't been prompted to do that myself nor did I allow permissions when it was created. Thanks

I've tried on a number of different machines to re-create your issue (which I believe to be a Java related plug in - like most forum sites use).........I can't. I haven't gotten a prompt for a plug-in download on either of the 3 laptops, nor on my company or home networks.

So, you may want to make a note of the version of IE/Safari/Chrome/or Mozilla browser you are using. Can you upgrade or try on a different browser.

You can also look at your active plug-ins before and after you download, to identify what it is.

Worst case scenario - you'll have to use a PC that does not infringe on your Server security. i.e. laptop at a coffee shop

Hope this helps.

Regards

Very Happy

I know that the board has done a ton of work getting the site up and running-thanks!

However, has anyone else found the tab on the forum page asking to down load or play a plug in irritating? My network is a secure server network and I will NOT download anything unless I know what it is. Can someone enlighten me as to exactly what will be downloaded and Whether the tab will go away?

Thanks
Blair
