- Jimmie,
I sent you a message that will update you on a couple of your questions. Fantastic. Thanks for your help. You're one of very few to reach out to me on this project. If anyone else is reading this post, please don't hesitate to help me update and correct these records. There's no public archive of this stuff and I've gone from Google to microfilm to put it together. | |

| Just posting to move this to the top of the queue since it got bumped to page 2. This is my best guess at the all-time coaching victories list, and as it notes below in several places, I haven't had much help on it. If you see an error or can help answer some of the questions I have below, please post or message me so I can fix it. | |

| After much angst and research (mostly angst), I'm producing this list in advance of the 2012 season. It will be updated weekly.
UPDATED ON: 7/12/12
ALL TIME NEFL COACHING VICTORIES LIST (League wins only!) *All CAPS denotes active head coach in NEFL*

For coaches who have been head coaches in the NEFL and ALSO in other leagues, here's that leaderboard. This includes non-league games. I'm still missing data (Phoenix and Wolverines mostly), and I don't know about past head coaching experience for most of the coaches on the list. CAPS is active NEFL coach.
1 MARK HEISER (Pioneers) 54-7-1 2 Donny Holcomb (Giants) 53-24 3 MARTIN ADAMS (Predators) 37-12 4 Matt Krivinchuk (Rage) 30-10 5 CHRIS KNAPP (Force) 29-10 6 Bob Formanek (Rough Riders) 26-37 T-7 Willie Howard (Dragons) 23-7 T-7 FRED HOVERSHOLM (Crush/Thunderhawks) 23-23 9 MIKE WILLIAMS (Hitmen/Miners/Rage) 22-14 T-10 Dan Brown (Crush) 19-4 T-10 Todd Trapp (Crush/Phoenix) 19-11 T-10 Al Johnson (Spartans) 19-39 T-13 RAY ROBERTS (Thunderhawks) 15-20 T-13 Patrick Hockers (Gladiators) 15-20 15 Steve Hinton (Predators/Wolverines) 10-11 16 Tom Cloutier (Spartans) 8-18 17 Rufus Bess (Dragons) 7-2-1 T-18 Jason Bloomer (Phoenix) 6-12 **This record is for 08-09. T-18 JASON ISAAC (Gladiators) 6-1 T-18 DAN BRIDGES (Rough Riders) 6-4 T-21 Bobby Diaz (Crush) 5-5 T-21 DAVE ADAMOVICH (Storm) 5-12 T-21 Bob Giannunzio (Arctic Blast) 5-22 **He started with the team in 2006, not sure if he was head coach or not. 24 Chad Ashman (Storm) 4-14 25 CHRIS MCGREGOR (MN Spartans) 3-7 26 Ryan Pagenkopf (Wolverines) 2-6 27 Chris Goodwin (Dragons) 1-1 T-28 DEXTER GENERAL (Giants) 0-7 T-28 KEVIN BLAKE (Spartans) 0-7
If something is missing or incorrect please email it to me or comment afterwards. This was an impossible task. Don't you people keep record books?
EDIT 1 - Ray Roberts (Thunderhawks) began coaching the Menomonie Thunderhawks midway through the 2009 season, adjusted his all-time record to 14-13 from 14-17. Fred Hoversholm (Crush) coached the Thunderhawks 2007-2009, so his all-time record changed from 5-6 to 16-20.
EDIT 2 - Mike Williams (Rage) was head coach of the Iron Range Hitmen in 05-06 (14-7) and Northern Minnesota Miners in 07 (1-7) of the GPFL. Will adjust if I have the wrong records.
EDIT 3 - Added the Spartans information (Tom Cloutier and Al Johnson) to both lists.
EDIT 4 - Updated data on Todd Trapp, current coach of the Minnesota Phoenix (former Crush coach as well).
EDIT 5 - Omitted Willie Howard's contributions to the Dragons before, because I'm an idiot. Those are in now.
EDIT 6 - Found info on the Arctic Blast and added it. Still searching for Phoenix/Wolverines coaching records for 2008-2009.
EDIT 7 - Learned Ryan Pagenkopf (via microfilm--yes, I went to the library and found an article from 2008, that's how dedicated I am) was coach of the Wolverines in 2008. No idea if he was around in 2009.
EDIT 8 - The now-defunct Phoenix have a coach to go with the team! Jason Bloomer. All NEFL records should be accurate. Data from prior to 2008 still shaky. I also don't have any clue as to where some of the older coaches moved on to, if at all. 11 former head coaches is a lot of former head coaches to track down.
EDIT 9 - Huge thanks to Steve Hinton, former Predators and Wolverines coach, for helping me correct the Wolverines' coaching contributions. Coach Hinton has been added to the all-time coaching list with a 10-11 career record, 2-6 in the NEFL.
EDIT 10 - Pending--I can't figure out who coached the Dragons in 2008. At least three people have told me Willie Howard, but I have two people saying it wasn't so (although I don't have a response as to who the coach was).
